Il 1967 fu un anno di successo per l'F-4C 64-0776. 

Il 23 aprile gli F-105 Thunderchief e gli F-4 Phantom II, entrambi carichi di bombe e missili aria-aria, distrussero 8 MiG a terra. 

Alcuni MiG-21 furono in grado di prendere il volo e l'F-4C 64-0776; con il 366th TFW / 389th TFS “Gunfighters” abbatté un MiG utilizzando un AIM-7E. 

Il 20 maggio 1967 sei MiG furono abbattuti dagli F-4C e l'F-4C 64-0776 ne abbatté uno. 

Il 22 maggio 1967 l'F-4C 64-0776 distrusse nuovamente un MiG rendendo questo aereo tre volte vincitore.
